Many of you maybe aware I have been working on a wireless remote control for the Blackmagic cameras which I have affectionately dubbed the MagicWand. I currently have a working prototype that utilises Bluetooth to communicate with a custom module at the camera end and an Android device as a controller.

I am currently running a campaign on Kickstarter to enable me to do some further testing and prototyping in order to come up with a more streamlined package with greater range and a better interface with a possible port of the software to iOS so it can also be implemented on the iPad and iPhone.

If you are interested in backing this project there is only a couple of days left to go so please have a look and if it is of interest please pledge generously.

    You will more info here:

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...for-blackmagic
    and here:
    http://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/vi...hp?f=2&t=15079

Recently I added a kit containing a refined version of the Bluetooth prototype plus cables and a LiPo battery as one of the backer rewards.

Thanks in advance for your time and generosity,

    regards,

    Andy Agnew

What if you're a person who doesn't use iPhone's or Androids?

@Eric: My MagicWand is not designed to please every one. The Japanese firm Hitachi does however have a product of the same name that is.
