Shot this with the UMP G1 (easy rig)+P4k (ronin), cell phone, go pro and Inspire 1 with X7. 5 different cameras. The director wanted a very spontaneous vibe of these kids going out and having fun. The cell phone footage with the vhs looking app and the gopro really helped with that look and feel. I colour Graded this one.

    Great work Darren!
Great shots, great colors. Those VHS-Scenes really made it feel kinda late 80s early 90s.

Have you ever tried to give the UMP 1 the VHS-look? Im guessing you only used the cellphone with the app here.

Thanks man. Appreciate it. I haven't tried that actually. This was an an on the directors Iphone. Admittedly I'd never used it before. But he liked the less than stellar footage from the phone as it added the vibe he was going for so we didn't even bother to attempt it on the Ursa/p4k footage.

I think the kind of image a smartphone/cellphone captures, can easily be transformed into the VHS-Look via Apps and Plugins.
I did the same with an older Canon Camcorder that records onto SD-Cards. Maybe a combination the Lenses and Zoom-Capabilities but it does the trick quite well.

Where will this commercial be shown?

Nice work Darren, but the voice over at the end sounds like recorded in a kitchen, is that the final version?
