You know that you already can buy EF>PL Adapters since donkeys years?

I had one on my first original BMCC back in 2011.

Most primes don't work on simple adapters, this one does apparently.

    Yeah, I saw that.
Basically the take a chap PL adapter from China, mill off the EF bayonet and drill a few holes,
so the EF diameter isn't a bottleneck anymore.

Hey BMD, could you please put out a native PL mount on the P6K

maybe after the initial EF scramble dies down a bit

Honestly I think this will happen. It only makes sense... And they did that with the BMCC eventually. That's the only thing that would sway me to buy this cam... even though I dont need it.

BMD might be saving the PL mount for the Micro version.

Hey BMD, could you please make the PL release coincide with the first firmware upgrade where Braw & pro res are on every format up to 6K without crops & downscales.

Do this, I will pull the trigger ..... So will others

I think it will be advantageous for BMD to make a PL adapter that can go on the EF mount - a PL lens to EF mount adapter suitable for the BMP6K. This will protect their current manufacturing inventory and those who have already bought the BMP6K. There is more EF lens owner than PL lens owner (or should I say renters). I'm one of those folks. I have a lot of EF lenses because they are affordable. When I need to use PL lenses, it is usually on paid gigs and they vary depending on production need. They are expensive and it just makes sense renting them for the project. I have a UMP G2 and shoot a lot of independent films. 95% of those indie films are shot using EF lenses because of budget reasons from the producer/production. The 5% who has a larger budget for their film and opt for a PL lens, I cater to them. I have the UMP PL mount so I swap them and rent the necessary PL lens - of course the cost is way more than I charge for EF lenses. Therefore, an adapter is a cheaper and practical direction for BMD to take than have to market another camera just for the mount. I'm also anticipating other companies to be coming out with PL to EF mount adapter soon - so the option will be there. As far as for the mechanics I'll let the engineers figure out how to make it work.
