So, a thing that I'm finding with the P4K's built in microphones is that their sensitivity is just really, really low, even with the gain turned all the way to 100%. I can be sitting in a quiet room an arm's length away from the camera, talking at a performance volume, and still need to add +20 dB to the audio in post which then necessitates all kinds of noise filters to clean it up. I just did a test where I leaned in a couple inches away from the mic and a regular speaking voice was still barely peaking at -18 dB.

Is this a problem with my unit?

No its the same on all pocket 4K's. I allways set it to 100%, but I record audio on a zoom H6 and link it later.

Yeah, same on mine, my Ursa Mini 4K is like that also. Itís a shame because when it does get enough levels the mic sounds really good for an on-board! Donít know if itís an issue with the hardware pre-amp or if it can be adjusted in firmware.
