Which is entirely true. As you never see the device powered on and it’s never explicitly clarified on the campaign page.

You must not buy and sell on ebay or other sites very much. This exact omission of detail is enough to lose a case filed under “not as described.”

I just sent Phill an email to clear up the controversy over the hot mount issue. Will post his reply when received.

    No need.

"The battery pack will come with an LP-E6 plate so it can plug directly into the back of the micro without the need of an extra cable. In the video I'm using an NPF plate and an additional adapter because that's what I had at the time. With the LP-E6 plate the battery will fit more snuggly and sit lower to the Micro.

    Cheers,

    Phil"

However by simply sending an email to Phil, and getting a quick reply from him you got a confirmation from Phil that the plated are not dummy plates, they are active hot plates. And I thank you for doing that. Doing that is exactly what any, say eBay, astute purchaser would have done. I apologize for my bad, my first response to you should have been simply, send an email to one little goat, in my experience Phil always emails back quickly.

I backed 2 of the the 13000 units immediately as backer number 3 and 7, and just now as backer number 100, 101 and 102. I would have been backer #1 if I didn’t have to go looking for my wallet.

In my humble opinion Phil Lemon is under appreciated.

OK, you beat me to the punch Geran, but I emailed Phil before seeing this post. His reply to me was similar, but additional detail’
Ahh, I will do an update and add to the FAQ. The battery handle attaches to
the LP6 slot on the back of the camera and powers it directly so no cable
    is required.
    Thanks for the heads up.
    Phil

Phil and I go way back, since his first One Little Remote, I have bought each model, all his units are great, and well thought out.
    Cheers
