The new firmware takes away Cdng from the UMP...that's all it does. I won't be upgrading that. If the next firmware has some valuable stuff then i will update it.

This seems like the kind of upgrade that makes room for a new camera using a certain M4/3 Fairchild sensor that can shoot 4K@120fps.

Interesting that the ursa mini 4k and 4.6 k are still listed as product options without having braw if this cdng patent thing is a serious issue. Seems like an update or drop situation, I expect they will be dropped. NAB should be interesting.

Mostly it’s a frame rate improvement. Some you might notice an improvement when you shoot on a 25mm at F8 with certain lenses.

Everything else feels very much the same to me. (I have zero experience on the audio side)

It really is a G2 rather than a new camera. Like the name says :-)

Well, the original BMCC BMPC (which received its last update more than a year ago), and the original Ursa, and now the original Pocket Camera, are all no longer supported with new features being added to the newer cameras, still in production.

    ISO is the same.

Which is to say, it’s a really great image at 800 iso.
