I DP'd this commercial for a German insurance company. They had to rush the finishing, so I'm not happy with the grading on some of the shots and I have no idea what they did with the compositing and graphics on the final shot, but I still love the original BMPCC.

All BMPCC except mountain and hockey game footage.

Really nice work. And that much more that it's withe the kit lens.
    Great job.

On another note, I've got an SLR Magic 25mmm hpyerprime arriving tomorrow, and when I placed the order the 40 compact caught my eye.
I've actually never shot anamorphic but 've read that the 40 matches well with the SLR M.
How long have you had it, how often to you shoot with it...any other lens combos?

Anyway you've inspired me to order one tomorrow.

It was just for this project.

I had a hard time getting shallow enough depth of field out of that combo, even at the long end. I even felt like there was more depth of field than without the adapter at the equivalent shorter focal length.

The 40 Compact requires to stop down to but I mostly had the aperture quite open.

I'm not sure I would recommend it, there were too many occasions were I couldn't seperate front and back as much as I wanted.

I like the images you produced.
Did you shoot in raw or prores?

Really nice work. I've been thinking about getting a pocket right now while they are so cheap.

Raw, results and workflow are so much better than Prores imo.

Nice, but the commercial is sooo full of lies ;-)
And why the logo at the end jumps up and down a bit - only post production knows

Curious, how much time did you spend shooting this? What about prep and hand-off time? Thanks.

Must have been 6 to 8 days, spread over roughly two weeks. Sometimes it was just a couple hours shooting, sometimes whole days and several sceneries. No real preparation on my side, me and my gaffer just came on location with a minimum of gear, shooting more or less documentary style. I once did a location check before shooting, the lake at sunrise.
I don't really know the hand-off time, sorry.
