I'm thinking of ordering a bunch of the Weipu 12V power connectors and making various cables for myself (DC jack, D-tap, etc), but shipping myself only 5 or so connectors doesn't make the order worth it.

Does anyone else in Canada want custom cables? I could do any requested connectors, cable lengths, etc.
Not trying to make any money, so I would do them just barely above cost.
It might take a while to get whatever necessary connectors, because of the holiday season and whatnot, but I figure I should have everything by the end of next month latest (I hope).

I'd do the cables in a sleeve like this (I think the red/black looks sweet):

I just ordered a coiled D-Tap - BM4K from KondorBlue. The coil part makes sense because any yank on the cable will be relived by the coil instead of the connector.

I think you should make a right-angle connector with a shorter coil to D-Tap, that would be the most rugged option - and (from my searching) can't see that anyone is doing it that way.

Got all my Weipu connectors in. I'm thinking of making more DC jack adapters than D-tap, that way people have options for what they plug in on the other end. I do have a bunch of D-taps as well though.

You got some soldering to do. I wonder if there are even that many cameras in Canada yet. I haven't preordered anywhere yet, waiting for stock to be readily available, could be a while.

Yeah, I may have gotten myself in over my head here.

I know of at least one more here in Winnipeg I'm sure there are at least 25 Canada-wide, haha.

I'll ship anywhere, just depends on if it's worth it for the buyer. I'm gonna have to do some calculations. Not trying to make any money on this whatsoever. Just doing it for "fun."
