Thought at first the same. How would you then power the camera? Normal by LP-E6 or V-Mount? Curious to know!

    1. How will the system with cage - side handle (the bigger one) - follow focus etc. affect the whole weight of the system?
    2. The handle features a "Samsung T5 ssd slot". Does that mean other SSD's won't fit?
    3. Do you think it is possible to power camera and monitor simultaneously through the side handle?

I think the cage itself is the best one so far! Looks like a glove around the camera.
    1. It will obviously be a lot heavier than the naked camera. My guess is twice or three times the weight. Still manageable with no problem, if you ask me.
    2. Nope, only the T5.
    3. Thay say that it can power the camera and external accessories so I think that a monitor is doable.

I will power the camera with its own LP-E6 since everything these days work with them, cameras, monitors, this handle etc. It keeps the camera light and I only have one battery type so it's simple. If v-lock are used for example, you have to unplug them always when you put the came on gimbal etc. Also LP-E6 will be a lot cheaper for same ammount of battery life vs v-lock. Just buy few dual LP-E6 chargers to go with.

One thing that comes in my mind is if the Mini-XLR is still easy to reach with the side handle. And also is it possible to remove the cover from the ports an connections on the left side?

Maybe one could use a right angle Mini XLR cable ?

It's the first time I see an elegant sunhood solution and let's face it, a sunhood is mandatory when shooting on a sunny day. I feel so much better now knowing that a slick and affordable solution exists.
