    Hey guys,

I don't know if this topic has already been discussed. What do you think about powering the Pocket 4k through normal Power-Banks? Somewhere I've read that some people are powering their cameras that way. Runtime about 3-5 hours. And Power Banks are relatively cheap.

    Does it make sense?

    All the best

You need the correct Adapter for this to work.
One option is the Cable-Set from Blackmagic, another would be a Dummy-Battery with the connector suited for your Powerbank.

You need a powerful Powerbank, at least 12V 2-2.5A.

Anker, Ravpower and other have units that can delivery the necessary power from usb-c pd. The problem right now is getting a properly designed cable to go from the bank to the cameras power socket. If someone came out with one, it could be a very economical solution for powering the camera.

I started this very thread about a month ago and got beat up pretty bad on here. I think it’s a great lower price and weight option for those of us that don’t want to invest in brick batteries. I mean the whole point of the pocket 4K is size right? Anyway I’ve been using the rav power bank my mixpre 6 and xt power banks for my original pocket and micro cinema cam and love them. 2 xt power banks would last me all day. The rav usb c bank is really great and powers my mixore6 all day on 12hr plus days. I love them. As soon as I get my pocket I will be trying the rav power on it. Until then I’d be interested to hear what people are using.
