    I've set up these items. This is just about my budget basically.



    Anything I should think of or about?

    My biggest concern is the rail support system, whether it will work well with the height.

    The baseplate lifts the camera very high. I like to keep the camera as close to the rods as possible.
    Because I am very tall. And it is more stable to keep it down.

    I was under the impression it needs 85mm from the rods to the lens ?
    Would you rather get the 8Sinn baseplate?

    85mm from the rods to the lens is the standard distance for Matteboxes. For most Follow focuses or other custom stuff you can put the rods to any distance you like.

    I also prefer put rods closer to the lens.

    Look closer - that height is adjustable and can be lowered significantly.

    I'm not a big fan of that T5 mount. One little smack from above and you done fudge it up.

    They did put it out for pre-order, but it’s not shipping until November 8. Or later. Who knows.
