So since i've gotten my UMP about a month now I've been shooting whatever projects i can (3commercials and a music video so far) on it so I can see the footage under a wide variety of scenarios. So far I'm really loving the footage. They say its not a low light cam (And it isn't) but if you light the scene properly you are good to go. I've even tested it with just a lighter or a cell phone lighting a face and it is fine. Yes there is a bit of FPN but only is an issue if you plan on raising the blacks but after crushing the blacks a tad its fine. For the most part its pretty clean though. I just have to light properly and I make sure the sensor is calibrated (if you have a good UMP that is).

All that said...here are some grabs I shot for a music vid/short film couple days ago. This is just a fuji lut i believe that I put on it with some minimal adjustments and a little grain added. I don't know if I will be grading it or not....but I'm really liking this cam. Even though its a beast when rigged out.

Looks awesome, would love to see the final graded version. Is that added haze/fog in the background or just smoke from the fire?

Thanks. To be honest I'm feeling this look so I prob would not change alot. But who knows. In regards to the smoke... We were using a smoke machine to help accentuate what was already there

Really great looking Stillframes. Especially the Orange/Gold/Red from the fire against the Blue is awesome!

    Looked like a fun shoot.

Shot a last min wedding w UMP this past weekend. With a little light, it's fine. But it won't work miracles.

Thanks man. The night shots were lit with an arri M18 hmi half CTB as the backlight... this was about 30-35meters away from where the talent is standing and it was on top of the building in the background and the key light is 2 LED pushed though a 4x4 diffusion... 250 or 216 diffusion .
