I've always used carbon fiber rods but now looking for a sturdy aluminium or steel rods to use so I dont get any flexing in my rig. Any suggestions? Anyone have experience with the ones from wooden camera?

I am using Smallrig Rods. Never got any "flexing" problems.

Wooden Camera and Zacuto rods, while a little more expensive, are very precise and very stiff. I use the carbon rods on my Micro rig with smaller lenses (like the Veydras) but have picked up some slightly used Wooden Camera And Zacuto aluminum rods at a reasonable cost, and both rely very stiff, especially if yiu are using a double connection base plate, where the rods are supported front and rear of the rig. Mine are 12-inch WC and 16-inch Zacuto rods.
Cheers
I went with Cinevate Carbon fibre rods thinking weight was important but they didn’t fit the URSA Mini 4.6K properly and I had to shave them. Now I also want to get strong steel rods as strength is more important than weight. Live and learn.
I got the steel ones from Wooden camera. Very Solid.
