We are happy to announce that Camera 5.1.1 is now available from our support site.

This update is for URSA Broadcast, URSA Mini Pro, URSA Viewfinder and URSA Studio Viewfinder and contains substantial improvements for lens iris control for servo zoom lenses. Our iris control is now much finer and more reactive giving continuous smooth iris adjustment for B4, PL and hybrid compact servo EF lenses. This is very useful for adjusting iris when live on air from the camera's slider in the heads up display or when connected to an ATEM Software Control or with the new ATEM Camera Control Panel.

The updates to the viewfinders are also necessary to ensure full compatibility with this new feature and improves compatibility with our Camera Fiber Converter as well.

What’s new in Blackmagic Camera Setup 5.1.1

    New features for URSA Broadcast

    • Smoother, faster iris control for B4 and PL servo lenses from camera.
    • Smoother, faster iris control for EF 'Hybrid Compact Servo’ lenses.
    • Smoother, faster iris control for servo lenses via SDI Camera Control.
    • Fixed ‘status text’ bug for Viewfinder & Studio Viewfinder ‘clean feed’.
    • Updated URSA Broadcast manual recommended CFast, SD and SSD list.

New features for URSA Mini Pro

    • Smoother, faster iris control for B4 and PL servo lenses from camera.
    • Smoother, faster iris control for EF 'Hybrid Compact Servo’ lenses.
    • Smoother, faster iris control for servo lenses via SDI Camera Control.
    • Fixed Quicktime compatability bug with some third party NLE’s.
    • Fixed ‘status text’ bug for Viewfinder & Studio Viewfinder ‘clean feed’.
    • Updated URSA Mini manual recommended CFast, SD and SSD list.

New features for URSA Studio Viewfinder

    • Support for smooth iris readout on Studio Viewfinder ‘status text’.
    • Adds support for ‘fiber’ logo in UI when powered from SMPTE fiber.

    New features for URSA Viewfinder

    • Support for smooth iris readout on Viewfinder ‘status text’.
    • Adds support for ‘fiber’ logo in UI when powered from SMPTE fiber.

No new features in 5.1.1 for other camera products.

I hope all this updates, except those specific to the hardware like SDI, that are rolling out will just be inherently on the BMPCC 4K.

These are mostly Broadcast feature updates to fix the rough stepping Iris control from ATEM CCU function on B4 and Hybird EF lenses like the Canin CL-E series. The only crosss-over feature is the NLE bug fix.
    Cheers

LOL. People report bugs in 5.1. It feels like those firmwares never tested before release.
Bearallison, I have an Ursa Mini Pro and have installed update 5.1. The problem happens when I try to change codec or resolution. The camera freezes/locks up. I have downgraded back to 4.9 and everything is fine.
All my custom made accessories for BMMCC/BMMSC now available here https://lavky.com/radioproektor/

It looks like a ursa broadcast bug firmware update and they just ported it to the ursa mini pro without testing. What worries me as this looks like they are working fully on the broadcast instead of the ursa mini pro.

I've been asking this question since the release of the UM4.6k... BMD seems strangely silent on the subject.

They kinda have started focusing on the Broadcast Ursa. I sometimes think they have ADD.

5.1.1 is now live on the support site and fixes the menu freeze issue mentioned above.

It is available for download now.
