    Hey Everyone,

Before we post this upon other media outlets, we wanted YOU "The Community" to have your eyes on this first!

We're working on a few film LUT's at the moment, specifically for Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5k & URSA. (We're also throwing in something for the 5D Mark II.)

There will be 6 LUT's totally. 2 Film stocks, Normal Processing, Push & Pull. Entirely Kodak Vision3 (at the moment).

    In Developement:

    LUT 5219/7219 (AKA 19) Normal Processing {3 Versions}
    - LUT (19) Normal Processing
    - LUT (19) Pull -1
    - LUT (19) Push +1

    LUT 5023/7203 (AKA 03)
    - LUT (03) Normal Processing
    - LUT (03) Pull -1
    - LUT (03) Push +1

    Specs:
Scanning at 8k on the Scanity4k, 10bit DPX (this is becoming the standard scanner at the moment.)
(we will test on a Northlight 2 if you guys throughly enjoy this LUT - we expect an exact identical color replication on these LUTs.

We will duplicate the RAW look of film 10bit DPX (this should be a flat look out of the gate, with higher dynamic range) just as film would be graded.

    19

    - The (19) will be FIXED at the Tungsten look.
You'll be able to embrace the pure Tungsten enviroment & definately get that Blue-ish look in Daylight sets. (again, this is to remain pure, and give you more control)

    03

    - The (03) will be FIXED at the Daylight look.
(which will remain warmer in tungsten enviorments.)

The reason we're making these LUT's is to have the exact same Color that you might have when shooting on Celluloid. I personally prefer film over digital (for the color complexities and how light is rendered out) but, I also know that it would quite an awesome thing to have the actual film look at your finger tips if you only have a BMCC or URSA. I love other LUT's - especially the popular ones... however, there isn't a whole lot out there that gave me the flexibility AND attaining a film look.

    ps-
We're looking for a couple amazing DP's/Directors to reach out to us and test this LUT before our pre-sale, and release.

    All the best,
    Samuel

Hi Samuel, I'm not as active and productive as Frank here but I'll be glad to test it on my upcoming projects (a few commercials mainly)

Samuel, I'm sure these LUTS will rocks. Recently I've attended a workshop with a great DP who worked with names like Antonioni and Pialat, we were astonished by the "golden" kodak color look.
I'm not a DP, I am a colorist, however feel free to contact me for any kind of support/beta testing..

I would also like to throw my hat in for testing. I shoot and also work as a colorist. 7219 came out when I was in college and I shot a few projects with it, absolutely love that stock. Also to clarify, is it being built off of the BMD 4K Film V3 color science?
