    Hey guys

In my country house (well, close to it, anyway), a lot of the natural vegetation burned because of recent fires. I decided to take my UM4.6k this weekend and try to shoot the contrasts: the green foliage still there with an almost dreamy kind of feel and the black lifeless woods that burned. Hope you enjoy.

Great shots David. Are the tilt-down/pull-out shots on a slider, or done in post?

Thanks Ben. Those are all done using the ifootage S1 slider.

Ok, so this video was just an experience for a doc I'm doing on the origin of trees and the future of the planet. It's a project that involves me, as director, and a friend of mine who brought in the scientific background for the project. Here are a few grabs:

Very nice! Do you have a CPL? I suspect a number of the foliage shots would benefit from that.

I definitely missed a CPL while shooting this. The weather was supposed to be cloudy, but some days it was just too sunny and the reflections on the foliage were harsh. I have to get me a Hoya Pro 1...

    Wow. Really gorgeous stuff.
    Perfect music choice too. Perfect.

It's fascinating to me they way you live so far away from me, but my environment looks nearly identical to this. Many of the same plants, and everything.

Thanks Dane. We actually have a very well known place, close to where I live, called Sintra that has some really fantastic natural elements.

This is another example (fortunately it was a cloudy day, as I was without any CPLs to get that kind of richness from the trees):
