    Good points.

Also, Internal Image Stabilization HAS been around in bigger professional cameras for years.... In the Broadcast quality ENG style video cameras. This means the technology IS there and has been for a long time, but it's not found in cinema cameras because professional users have not requested it. It is only one of many ways to stabilize footage and it's not a particularly useful one in a professional cinema-style setting.
In camera stabilization is wanted most often only by solo-operators. And that's just FINE. For them. But by that very token they must realize that they are not necessarily the biggest or most driving segment of the cinema camera market.

For people who want cinematic image quality Blackmagic cameras destroy their competition in every price bracket... For those who want cinematic image quality.
This new 4K camera will destroy all the competition up to $5,000 again IF cinematic image quality is YOUR prime concern. If it is NOT your prime concern then there are many MANY other cameras that may very well better suit your needs.
Cameras: Blackmagic Cinema Camera, Blackmagic Pocket Camera (x2), Panasonic GH2 (x2), Sony RX100 ii, Canon 6D, Canon T2i,
Mics: Sennheiser, AKG, Shure, Sanken, Audio-Technica, Audix
Lights: Every Chinese clone you can imagine

Once someone comes up with a way to physically lock down the sensor when IBIS is shut off, the point will be moot. That's what I'm saying. We are still at the beginning of IBIS technology.

On-sensor NDs are coming courtesy of Panasonic.

CFexpress has the bandwidth for 8K raw, it's just not in any cameras yet (and the media will be out within months).

Even next year is going to see massive improvements in usability at every level of the market. Saying "no DP will ever want IBIS" (or any other technology) is shortsighted.

Also, the distinction between a traditional cinema camera and something a solo operator doing run and gun work will continue to disappear quicker than ever.

Don't disagree with those points at all, technology rapidly changes and it's on us as DP's and content creators to keep along with it, it's just not there right now so don't think it's fair to fault this particular camera for it, that's all.

I don't get it. In what universe, is popping in an other battery every hour, even remotely a problem ?

    People with small pocket

Shooting at gigs, documentary shooters, travels, etc.
Imagine hanging off a cliff to film the rare birdie and the battery went flat, don't want to be changing battery at this point.

A Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K would be the wrong camera to begin with for such a job

Is it possible to use an iphone/android/tablet/etc as a monitor using the pocket's Bluetooth?

    Really?

How about this then. I don't want to worry about battery going flat filming a scene like this

More than any other camera, it would be the right one for the job.
