I have to say I agree. His grading often looks muddy to me and very affected.

It seems popular to lift the shadows/blacks overseas (not that I'm saying everyone does it and I can't say I haven't before either)...I've seen it with James Miller and other guys too.

If it was 1350 Canadian, that would be cool, but we still have to put exchange on that at any given time. I was lucky to get my original pocket at a time when the money was nearly at par, missed the half price deal though. Considering that this seems leaps and bounds better than the Bmcc for less money than it ever was I suppose I can't complain.

Boo... just heard the USB-C port will accept power, but not when the camera is on. This would have been a great, small, cheap power solution.

It still has the DC power port - there are plenty of cheap power bricks with DC feature.

I think it is still great to have the USB-C for external SSD. With the way the camera base is designed, if BMD makes that battery door removable, I think there will be some vendor out there who will design and manufacture a battery grip that will fit underneath that can take a couple of LP-E6 batts or something with larger capacity. I'm crossing my fingers. I think that there is also the option of using a cheaper power solution via the power port too.

With its dual iso and mini xlr and usb-c solution this screams a really good doc cam as long as u can power the darn thing. I will wait a little longer to pre-order but I bet this goes real good with my RED and I can use my A7R2 just for stills

You dont even need that anymore, Core is making these, checked them out at NAB along with their new sony and panasonic specific batteries. All great stuff. Smart designs.
