Bets on a micro with no screen showing by IBC ready to ship. The lens mount section has that exact profile. A version 2 video assist that can control it, or maybe no needed with the new Bluetooth controls.

Assuming this is the Sony sensor in the gh5s, that should not be a hold up. Just a matter of getting production lines running. Grant said it could even ship early, they don't want any more being late.

i suppose we are splitting hairs here, but if my understanding of Full HD vs. 4K is correct, a "windowed" HD format in DCI would be 9.48 x 5mm on the BMPCC4K. That's very close to the width of standard 16 mm. So it's more akin to a cropped standard 16mm gate.

So you're correct that it is not S16 and actually even slightly smaller than standard 16mm. Still it belongs to the 16mm family of formats. The point is here that we are able to use our 16mm cine lenses without vignetting. Right?

There's just so many things right with this camera and I only have two gripes. My God is it ugly and how I wish they went with a slightly smaller screen but made it flip out, the Canon flip out has made things immensely easier at times.

Once we get our hands on one we can test it, but to a great extent they ARE interchangable.

For instance, the BMPCC specific Nikon Speedbooster DOES work on the BMCC2.5k but you just have to use full frame lenses so it doesn't vignette. I have them. I've done it. Its awesome.

Sorry DP, but the new Pocket has the same 18.96x10mm sensor on the GH5S, and the MFT .64 Speed Booster vignettes with the Sigma APC-S Zooms on the wide end. So a BMPC SB is only going to work in the HD window mode. The 0.64 MFzt SB will only work with FF 35mm lenses, and the new MFT 0.71 SB should work with both APC-S and FF lenses. The two MFT SB were tested on the zgah5S.
    Cheers

    FYI:

    The BMPCC 4K sensor is 18.96mm x 10mm
    The GH5s sensor is 17.3mm x 13 mm

The GH5s is, of course, multi-aspect, though.

Wait, I thought the Native ISOs of the GH5s were 400 and 2500 while the new Pocket's ISOs are 400 and 3200. I kind of thought that had to be specific to the sensor design and not something that BMD could choose. Am I wrong about that?

Edit: tyger11 in with the correction.

Well, yes and no, I think the native ISO is based on a combo of sensor and video processor, and is the setting with least noise, best image. That said, can you manually set the high/low Gain, as the GH5S does, or is it automatic? Both have the same low ISO native setting.

Isn't that only needed if there's overlap in the ISO ranges?
