Nice setup thanks, I always assumed that the Magic Power 2.0 would dwarf the BMMMC but it looks a good fit with that cage on. What sort of run time do you get powering the camera and the Video Assist? Also are you using a Shijan's expansion box there?

Those Hawkwood mini Vlocks look great, but yes a smaller solo plate would be preferable on a small rig like this. Might have to save up a few more pence/cents too before picking one of these up though! Thanks for pointing them out.

Yes, that is Shijan's box. As to the run time, I'm not sure but I'd say no more than a couple hours with this setup. So you need two juiceboxes, but they charge fast and are very easy to mount. The VA demands quite a lot of juice. It's so big and heavy, often times I end up using a smaller evf (http://bhpho.to/2eQdhf3) for handheld shots, and then I keep the VA attached to the tripod... With only the bmmcc + evf, the juicebox lasts forever.

I use a v-mount power distro unit mounted to rails. It has outputs for various accessories. Putting a large maxoak brick on there I have never ran out of power, I bet it would last 8+ hours with conservative practice in-between setting up shots.

Hawkwoods do actually make a relatively small v mount plate for their monitor mounts - could maybe be hacked a little into more general service for micro?

I power my BMMCC and VA with the Magic Power 1.0 and I get 3 1/2 hours.

Don't forget about this new ultra compact aluminum V-Lock plate by ANSSO. It is priced same as SmallRig and Camvate V-Lock plates, but have real DC connection and two build in output DC cables.
