Was re-editing a video just a few weeks ago from my Canon HV20 using Resolve 14 beta5. Looked decent!

Getting all misty just thinking about trying to beat that thing into manual exposure mode using a micro SD card.

That brings me back... My first "prosumer" camera/setup. What a pain this was to work with! Sitting on top of a "Walmart tripod". LOL

Never messed with 35mm adapter rigs, really liked the hv20 look as is. My kids still use mine for YouTube videos. Really wish there was a way to capture directly into resolve with it though. I keep my old G5 and FCP 6 for that. Not sure what to do when that rig dies, but will likely still outlast those cameras anyway.

It's amazing how far we've come in less then 10 years !

I'm glad those Mini35 adaptors went away though, what a pain in the a$$...

Well here's a little something from about 9 years ago, a recruiting TVC I shot for the Australian Defence Force.

At the time they had a "rule" that we weren't allowed to shoot on higher quality formats like film because they wanted to keep it real.

So we went to a canon XL2 and a P&S adaptor with an Ang 25-250 HR.

And the finished video, which certainly doesn't stand the test of time ! Mini DV and SD video ! ICK !!
