I have the chance of getting the cinema camera in mft for a good price.

Does anyone still think it's a good way to go?

Nowadays I am doing more slow moving projects, with available light when possible but for the majority with plenty of light.

I'm not a big fan of slow motion and will be using mostly in prores. I have worked with the camera and really liked it but it was 3 years ago.

Here's a recap of that work:

    Appreciate any enlightment.

I still love my BMCC. Currently shooting a short film on it. Check out some frames http://www.bmcuser.com/showthread.ph...film-I-m-Dping

I shoot on everything because of work and the client. But my personal cam is still my BMCC. If slo mo and 4k is not important for you then I think its worth it for how cheap it is.

Until you need slowmo it works just great!
I have 4K but found bmcc more cinematic.
But my bmpc is more photographic.

Absolutely. We used the mft with a SB last week for a commercial in Sonoma.

I loved my BMCC before I stepped up to a larger camera system. Grab yourself a rawlite OLPF to solve moire and IR problems and away you go.

I still use the BMCC as my main camera. Love it, the color is wonderful and the bit of extra resolution when working with the MOsaic OLPF helps a lot.

As others have said, if you NEED 4k, or slowmo, it won't work as your main camera, but otherwise it's wonderful for narrative film making. I really enjoy the BMCC Speedbooster as I just treat it as the BMCC being "1600 ASA" which really helps for ETTR.

I have no need for 4k yet, and I still prefer the color science of the BMCC and Pocket to many things, 4.6k included.
