  1. #1 Best Run and Gun lens for Mini Ursa 4.6k?
    Hi,

I have a set of nikon AIS and Rokinon cine primes but looking for good lens for run and gun situation where I can only carry one lens with me. Whats some good options for the Mini Ursa 4.6k? The Canon and Sigma 24-105 f4 always felt perfect for full frame. But not wide enough and stop to slow for super 35.

I really wish some would just make a 16-85 range with constant 2.8 and IS.

Whoa the 17-50 keeps going down in price. That's an excellent deal

Sigma 18-35, without a doubt. Tack sharp (even wide open) and flexible.

The Sigma 18-35 is the best looking lens, but it's limiting when you need 50mm or higher. It all depends on what type of run n gun you will be doing. I personally like the 24-105 for run n gun.

Well, I have the Sigma 18-35 for my mini pro but missed the IS and some reach for shoulder work. Bought the cheap 17-50 IS but its far from usable in IQ. Ended up with the Canon 18-80 Cine. A little slow at T4.4 and more expensive but a perfect lens for run n gun. Just love it.

Canon 17-55 is my go to on my C100 (super 35, too), but it's a crop frame lens...

I know the Sigma 17-50 is not the best lens for IQ, but I'm curious to what effects you experienced to make it far from usable?
