I'm disappointed the 4K model only goes to UHD and won't record C4K. Takes it off the table for me, I think.

ATOMOS color science sucks. I just sold my Shogun Inferno 4K a couple of days ago. I tried it with my Sony FS5 and URSA Mini 4.6K. It records 3 stops darker than the camera does. So when your exposure looks perfect on the camera display and you record on the Atomos, it looks terrible because you have a lot of noise in the shadows due to it recording 3 stops darker. I'm buying a Video Assist 4K today. A Fullcompass rep told me that Blackmagic is getting rid of the rest of their stock because they might be coming out with new monitors.

Really? Is there anyway around this? Or is it possible that the screen was so bright that you stopped the lens down to make it 'look' good on the screen? Like did your histrogram appear correctly exposed on the camera, and then when you get it on the Atomos the histrogram shifted totally to the left? Sorry for all the questions, but that just doesn't sound like it's working properly. I've been seriously considering the Inferno as a purchase, but haven't used one yet.

I got the 4K Assist yesterday, but unfortunately I don't have a mini USB cable to update to firmware 2.5. I'll be able to pick one up tomorrow, but in the meantime, would anyone be able to confirm that 2x anamorphic desqueeze is in the features?
