Do any of the above listed models include Thunderbolt3/USB3.1C 10GB/sec ports for attaching external storage? For raw editing you will need massive storage and high speed raid or SSD.
I'm currently running 6TB of external USB3.1 storage on my MSI GT72 for storing and editing one raw 2k format long form doc project. It isn't enough. Will need about 20TB before I'm through.
I'm running a recent gen MSI GT72 i76700HQ 2.7GHz with 16GB DDR4 ram and a 512GB NVME SSD internally. GPU is a 3GB GTX970. Very robust, 230w power supply, heavy duty cooling. Works very well for editing without overheating like my previous Toshiba did which pulled enough power to melt its DC power cords.
Performance is adequate entry level for Resolve 12.5, able to run 24FPS 2K raw in real time with some grading nodes applied.

Thanks for responses. I already order and picked this one. It does have 2 usb 3.1 ports (type c) but no thunderbolt. I think this was the best bang for the buck, haggled the price down on ebay to 1200 and this laptop was purchased by the original owner end of January 2017 so it is very new, retail was 1600. Only down side is the 1TB second drive is 5400 rpm but I wont be storing and raw on there.

I did a lot of research and just could not find a better price to performance model out there. I have an SSD and M2 in mind as was as 16GB of ram. Yes I would have liked 32 but with Resolve 14 it flys. http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/produ...03738507780118

It seems good enough but if you can find cheaper upgrade charges it would be better.
