    It was the weirdest spam ever. Had nothing to do with cameras or film making and was sort of like a hello Kitty site

    I did . It was a Chinese site that had some hello kitty like stuff and said"Be Happy all the time" or some lame as crap like that

    Avoid clicking on the link. The URL has a sublink that does some script after it display the hello kitty site. I didn't dig any further for fear that the sublink script can push a malware to the PC. Just delete the email without being curious to be safe.

    Assume if you clicked the link that your PC and any other PC in your local network has been compromised....sad but true.

    Clicking on an unsolicited link from an unknown entity online, with zero context is begging for a virus.
