  1. #1 Sigma 18-35 T2 featured on the Ursa Mini Pro
Decided to take the plunge and ordered an UMP at B&H with the whole enchillada of accessories.

But was intrigued by the Sigma 18-35 Cine lens featured on the BMD site.

It doesn't seem to be availlable...

Would freel obliged if someone could enlighten me

Not out yet... I'm sure BM got a pre release copy to show off with the camera as I'm sure it will be hot pair. There has been some heated discussion over whether or not it will cover the whole sensor at the wide end, time will tell. If I was getting those lenses I'd get in PL to support the weight, and the PL mount for camera of course.

For whatever reason, B&H and Adorama seem to not have them yet, but other stores like 'Hot Rod Cameras' and 'Texas Media Systems' (sponsors over on DVXuser) have been shipping the zooms since December.

O.k. Cool, not in the market for the zooms yet, so hadn't paid attention to availability. Makes sense not at big stores yet though, probably not shipping in volume yet.

Ah damn it's 4000$. I will stick with the regular 18-35 f1.8 for now.

Been thinking of getting a URSA Mini 4k or 4.6k There is a huge differences in price between them. I don't know much about the Black Magic cameras.

4K has global shutter with "12 stops" and a native 400 ISO.

    4.6K has "15 stops" and a native 800 ISO.

4K only shoots 4K, UHD and HD while the 4.6K offers several different resolutions.

The 4K has most of its issues ironed out while the 4.6K sensor is still questionable with magenta and crosshatching.

The URSA Mini Pro shares the same sensor as the 4.6K, and has built-in NDs, is able to record onto SD cards, and includes a bunch of buttons on the body.

    ---

More info of course exists on the BM website, but in a nutshell, both are capable of extremely high-quality images.

IMO, the 4K Mini offers a lot more for the price than what the 4.6K offers for the price.
