For the past two or three months I've had this camera, I've been very very happy with it, but it's really when you bring some light manipulation that you have a glimpse on what it can do. My daughter was doing some drawings and in the meantime I threw in some practicals (not professional lights) and tried to shoot with it. Very happy with what it can do. I can't wait to bring in some serious lighting gear for our short.

    Two stills:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/b7srl2l68r....10.1.bmp?dl=0

Don't know why but I can never post images by URL with the unchecked box. It will only appear two error boxes instead of the stills...

This looks fantastic David, looking forward to seeing some footage from you in the future.

Very nice! Ironically, it was the same situation (my daughter drawing) that inspired me to do some minimal lighting (desk lamp and open windows) and realized how great the 4.6k looked (video here: https://vimeo.com/178122844). The 4.6k sensor really loves light.

Looks great-- I've been thinking about getting a Pro Mist, kind of intrigued by your Smoque tests tho. What are your thoughts between the two?

Thanks! I'd highly recommend either. I almost don't notice a difference, in general I just like the haze and both do a good job. I try to avoid smoque 1 and 2 in bright light and sun. Washes out the image beyond what grading can save.

I've already seen your video and like it a lot. Made me look for some haze filters a while back.

My daughter has been a tremendous help for me in discovering the best way to shoot with this camera. And of course, there is something magical when shooting them in their environment, with their toys. In the right light, it gets very nostalgic, fast. I always remember the first shots of Close Encounters (inside the house of that kid whose name I can't remember).
