Maybe they learnt from their mistakes (that's why they didn't announce new cameras last year) and this year they will announce them in today's press conference to ACTUALLY ship them by NAB 2017. I would be a pretty boring NAB, though, especially the night before, trying to catch the banners as they install them :P
Also, I'm pretty sure there won't be a Pocket 2. I have one, and love it, but people should move on, as BD did. Micro's the new form factor for the future. Maybe they can release modules or somethig like that, but I don't see them coming back to a Pocket style camera.
And the whole RED is the customer and camera service examplar is getting tired. I have different experiences to the popular mythology. I tried to test RED Dragon for the show I'm on now and the card crashed and burned and couldn't be recovered. We didn't even get to took at results from the test bay. And it's not just me. I just saw this post today too.
Right now I'm having more troubles with an Arri Alexa mini loosing footage on the shoot I'm on now.
I can plus 1 this as well. We have a hunter Hayes music video about to come out and another large country artist we are shooting next week. I love this camera. It's so close to an Alexa image but you get the additional resolution and crazy cheaper package so it's quite with the trade off.
