    Hi!

Is there a way to show the Display Name instead of the filename of a clip in the timeline in EDIT?

You need to display the Display Name column in the media page, which by default isn't selected to appear. So right click in the media pool to add the Display name column and then make the change in the appropriate field. You can also use variables to automatically rename clips.

See page 249 of the manual.

    jrd,

I did this initially, but the Display Name is only showing in the Media-Window, not in the timeline in the Edit-Window. There the original filename is still displayed.

In the View menu, select "Show Display Names".
