Nah, I don't think so. I have the Vivitar 70-210 Series 1 here, totally different design, concept, mechanics, glas, charakter and all.
How could a 70-210 even be the same as a 28-70 in the first place - no way.
Those lenses couldn't be more different.
Could this model be similar?

Argh, Frank! Because of you and this thread here out of curiosity I have found and bought a used Nikon mount Tokina 28-70 2.6-2.8 (version 2 with bayonet mount) yesterday.
Will be interesting to test this one out, as I am normally more of a fan of very sharp images.
Any advice on a good Nikon to Canon EF mount converter?
OK, received the Tokina lens today. Sunshade got broken during transport and suboptimal packaging.
So far lens looks still good, just need an adapter to EF now for testing it. Any suggestions for a well built one?
I use this one and there´s nothing to complain.

Nikon F to Canon by Kindai Rayqual. Believe it or not, it's actually better than my Novoflex adapters.
I would suggest a Leitax Nikon->Canon hard mount but the holes of the adapter don't line up with those on the lens bayonet.
