Yes, the Nikon version has a Iris ring.

Thank you Denny. Do you know aswell if the focus works without electronic control? Adapting an nikon mount in a ef body?

Yeah Frank, look what you've started... I just bought three in the hope of get a great version. "My name is Tristan, and I'm a....."

I plan to get it rehoused to PL by Kim Camera in Korea. I saw a post by Matt Duclos critiquing Kim's re-house efforts and considered it to be a very good job. Not really a lot of affordable PL zoom in the mid range at f2.8, so that could be a great option.

The Pentax version has an aperture ring as well. And I'm pretty sure the Leica-R version does too, though they seem to be much rarer.

Yes, the Sigma Nikon mount and all the Nikon AI/S lenses, and many of the newer G models all have manual focus (not focus by wire), auto-focus is achieved on Nikon camera bodies by a mechanical drive in the body (looks like a little screwdriver) that engages the lens focus screw which turns the focus gear. The focus motor is in the body, not the lens, so manual focus always works, auto focus only on Nikon cameras with a focus motor. Some newer Nikon F digital G lenses have a focus motor in them.
    Cheers

Nicely done. There certainly is a beautiful character with those lenses, and the two cut together very well.
