Ver II has a bayonet Mount for the lens hood, Ver 1 onlymuses the 77mm filter ring mount. This looks like Ver of the lens to me.
    Cheers

I want to share my experience of using Tokina 28-70 f/2.8 (1st ver. for Nikon) with a focal reducer. I got a Viltrox NF-M43X Speed Booster and tested it with my Tokina. You can check stills from BMPCC. Picture quality with focal reducer is as good as with dumb adapter but I couldn't achieve focus at infinity at all focal distances with the focal reducer despite of trying to adjust it manually by moving the lens unit of focal reducer. The lens is parfocal with dumb adapter but with the Viltrox focal reducer it is not parfocal What focal reducers do you use with this lens? Is the Tokina 28-70 parfocal with it? Which focal reducer do you suggest and I want to be able to use it with a new BMPCC 4K (image circle 21.44mm). Metabones 0.64 for BMCC is not suitable for a BMPCC 4K because it covers 18.2mm only.

    Tokina 28-70 f/2.8 50mm f/5.6 with dumb adapter.

    Tokina 28-70 f/2.8 50mm f/5.6 with Viltrox NF-M43X Speed Booster.

I would suggest the Metbones XL or Ultra for thr new Pocket Camera 4K. Since the lens is parfocal with the dumb adapter, it should be also with the correct SB, the one yiu are using has an incorrect back focus (FFD) setting.

I'm going to order Metabones Nikon G to Micro Four Thirds Speed Booster XL 0.64x. Anyone using it with Tokina 28-70 and can confirm is this lens parfocal with this speed booster?

So I ordered a Tokina 28-70mm 2.6-2.8 EF from eBay but after testing it, it seems that it doesn't reach anywhere close to infinity focus on the wide end. does anyone know of a fix to this or will I have to return? Im using a GH5 with a Speedbooster XL. Here is a comparison between 28mm and 70mm

I believe the speedbooster should be adjustable for infinity focus?

Update: I removed the optical block from the speedbooster and the issue remains which leads me to believe that it is in fact an issue with the lens itself.

I got my adapter today (Metabones XL) and it is not good - it wobbles in contact with my camera and there is not infinity with my lenses.
