Looks great! Which version of the lens did you use? What aperture range did you use? Some of those images look pretty sharp, so I'm assuming you closed it down and lit well. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the kind words.

I have the 2.6 Nikon version with a dumb EF adaptor. Some shots were wide open at 2.6, mostly I shot at F4. All shots I used a Schneider HBM 1/4.

Shot in 4.6k 2:4:1 ProRes HQ.

Am I correct in saying that the sought after version of this lens does not come in an EF mount?

You can use a Nikon F or EF adapter, most of them fit tight enough to work very well, and you still get manual focus and iris control, both lacking on a EF version, which only came in the later newer versions.
    Cheers

The two versions made that have manual iris control were made for Nikon & Pentax. Both are easily adapted to EF mount with a cheap mechanical adaptor.

The problem with the EF version is you have no way of adjusting iris on the speedbooster, that's why the Pentax & Nikon versions are more sought after.

BTW, I've a Pentax model (f/2.6-2.8) in near mint condition listed for sale in the trade section on BMCUser.

I've got an EF version II of this lens. I've had varying degrees of success with Blackmagic cameras talking to it. The 2.5k EF didn't like it (no aperture control), but it operates fine on my Ursa Mini Pro and Pocket 4k with the Viltrox (haven't used this in anger but I'd be stopping down to do so). The micro with the Metabones will operate it but wide open registers as F3.2 (should be more like F1.7).

Been using this lens quite a bit over the last while but I've noticed that it's a little soft on one side. Camera right. Which I'm pretty sure isn't normal but I thought I'd ask anyway incase others experience a similar issue.

Crappy image attached but you'll see what I'm talking about, the blurry right.

Can this be repaired or should I go hunting for another copy?
