BMCP4k video-out for monitoring 6G-SDI to HDMI or Thunderbolt to HDMI?

I know a lot of people just go direct monitor but they want a cable going to editing when possible, ie tripoded.

What do you guys use for monitoring with an actual PC on location?

    Software?

from bmpc4k (i own it) you can only monitor from sdi, if you want you can use adapter (active) to convert from sdi to HDMI, but usually only fullHD, not 4k compatible to check focus or more. From tb you can only go on a computer with blackmagic software (it's in your cd from bmpc4k box) that allow you to use your mac like video tools for istogram, vectorscope and more, but is not confortable to use like monitor. TB from bmd cameras are never a video output but a digital data output.
