Ah that is smart. Nice to know.

vicharris have you got footage only that was shot with there?

EDIT: sorry seen your other post. :-)

Yep, have a bunch on all 3 lenses. Just swamped and probably heading to NAB in a couple days. I'll try to get something out soon but Kofa's stuff is probably better than mine

I’ve heard from SLR Magic and they are checking the status of my 50mm order. I told them I wanted to preorder the 25mm and 85mm so I’ll likely be high in the queue just behind all you LA partygoers!

Hi Rick (and anybody who wants to preorder any of the APO cine lenses)
I found out that the "stiffness" (i can't find an other word for the high friction) of the aperture gear can be a problem when using a motor control. Especially in a cold environment the motor (i use the one from CAME TV) has difficulties to overcome the friction. So i would advice to preorder a lens version with a less "stiff" aperture.
I will send my 50mm back to HongKong to correct the friction of the aperture gear.

I caught this while putting my hands on all of the primes, and gave Andrew a few notes/thoughts on how to proceed. It was indeed too stiff, and needed to match the ease of the focus ring. I believe he will adjust appropriately.

What's the expected price range for these primes?
I'm in the market for some lenses and wondering if I should hold off until these come out. You guys seem to know a lot about it, will they really come out at the end of this year or will it be like the 50mm which was supposed to ship in 2015?
