Thanks, Herb. Yeah, thinking that's the case. They're going back.

I'll be curious to hear how this plays out. I've been seriously eyeing these lenses for the past few months.

Will you order again through Adorama?

Nope. Considering going with Hot Rod Camera.

I'll tell you how mine are when I get them. I got them through Hot Rod Cameras, who will check the lenses for me before shipping them to me.

Really like how compact these are. Waiting on the 32mm now. This case does not come standard at the moment btw. I got this 4 lens case through Hotrodcameras. I guess after the 32mm is readily available SLR magic will start selling the 4 hole case with the set.

    Darren,

Have you had a chance to form a little more of an opinion of them?

Here are some frames below from the lenses shot on the UMP. In this order

    25mm
    25mm
    25mm
    50mm
    50mm
    85mm
    85mm
    50mm (with satin 1 filter)
    50mm (with satin 1 filter)

Of course the forum shits on the quality so I'll try to upload a video of these frames soon.

Overall i really like them. I really like how compact they are. Its hard to see myself with the big cineglass. My rig is already heavy as it is. I really like how the out of focus/ bokeh looks, very smooth and creamy. All of the lenses have at least 13 blades so its round bokeh. I also like that they are not overly sharp (looking at you sigma art) and more organic. Overall they tend to go to the greenish/warmer side of things but the 25 is noticeably greener. Easy fix in post to match to the 50 and 85 but wish I didn't have to. I prefer that to magenta though. Build quality seems really good. They are compact but stout lenses, dense and weighty. I love that I can use circular filters if I don't want a Mattebox. The EF to PL is adapter is easy peasy to change as you see here. Shot this on the 25mm on the UMP.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGC34155qXU (annoying sound is the dji focus motor being picked up my internal mic)

Iris is a bit stiff...stiffer than the focus...but all still smooth. One thing to note is that when using the EF adapter and a remote follow focus....its unusable to me. I say that because of image shift. Because of the natural play in EF mount (all ef mount) and the torque exerted on the lens the image shifts when focus direction is changed. I asked Illya from hotrodcameras (where I purchased them) why this is so because I don't see that with my Rokinons. He said he suspects because the weight of cinema glass and the focus being a good deal stiffer than stills rokinon glass it's much easier to provoke this. Rokinons take almost no effort to change the focus and they are hella light weight so this problem won't be seen. That's a bit of a bummer however I am using my PL mount on the UMP for these lenses. I suppose if the camera is moving though this won't be seen as it will be hidden in the movement, but I was testing it with a static camera. I guess a good lens support will help this though. However, This is no issue when pulling focus with a manual follow focus . This is an EF mount issue...not a lens issue

I'm still waiting on my 32mm
