SLR Magic make their own specific adaptor for this. They really thought about it. They also make an MFT version too.

If this is not clear, you unscrew the rear portion of the PL MOUNT and replace it with SLR Magic's own EF MOUNT. I have their optional EF mount for the APO lenses. It's not a PL lens to EF camera mount adapter. It's a replacement EF mount fitted to the APO lens.

Well, nevertheless, using PL lenses with an EF Mount adapter is always a bit of a pain.

For the APOs i am using this PL Mount adapter:
    http://www.ebay.de/itm/PL-mount-lens...kAAOSwd4tT5IM9

in combination with this lens support:
    https://www.videodata.de/shop/produc...port-15mm.html

to minimize the lens movement (rotational and vertically) especially when using a motor.

This flipped image is giving me the worst disorientation ever, lol. Anything else interesting over there at IBC?

Ok, now to some real infos ;-)
The 32mm APO cine lens from SLR Magic is in its final prototype phase.
It features the same form factor from the lens set. Focus gear position etc. are the same.
It will be available at the end of the year, Andrew said "around christmas time".
Price will be the same as the others.
I had the chance to make some testshots with it:
There is virtually no focus breathing!
I am totally impressed by this lens, i highly recommend it.

The next lens in this set will be a 18mm. But it is still in the design phase.

Thanks Kosmokrator! Did you happen to take note of what the minimum focussing distance was on the 32mm? Or perhaps what the front filter thread is?

The minimum witness mark (and focus) is 2' and it likely is 82mm filter thread like the 25mm, 85mm. The first lens in the series is a 50mm with 62mm thread, but that likely should have been an 82mm in hindsight. The 18mm is cloaked in secrecy as we don't know if the lens will be the same housing with a smaller aperture or the aperture will remain T2.1 in a larger housing. I know I'd like to see the same aperture but it may be a stop slower. Price might also be a factor in the final decision. I don't speak for SLR Magic, but these are my thoughts.

That's right. Minimum focus will be at 22" (a bit less than 2').
And of course a 82mm filter thread.

I asked Andrew if there will be a second version of the 50mm (with 82mm filter thread and realigned focus gear) and he said that they are thinking about it.
