    Hi Guys,

Is anyone selling his/her Schneider 4x4 Hollywood Black Magic 1/8? (if you have a 1/4 for sale also let me know, but that would be my second choice)

haha..yeah was worth the try, I guess I'm buying one from ebay. I'm going for the 1/8 4x4 after seeing this video. (pay attention to the blue lightsource and how much the starstripes change). The 1/4 just becomes to soft for me.

Update: Just bought the 1/8 4x4 on ebay for 175 dollar + 22,50 shipping.

almost every dp owns the 1/8 and the 1/4, i definitely use my 1/4 on close ups.
but good luck ever seeing them used for sale, unless someone is quitting the business.

Yeah - the 1/8 and the 1/4 are probably my single most used filters.

    Bad part about shooting multi-cam?
You have to buy your filters in TRIPLICATE! Doh!

Yeah I was debating on getting the 1/4 as well for cu..since I could combine the shipping..but I think Im gonna wait and see how I like the 1/8 first. I figure with the 1/8 its already a lot better then using no filter, like we did with my last feature:-) I just need the filter to get rid of the digital look. I think it will be interesting to see what it does on my gh3 as well.

    that IS the formula.
and i can honestly say i havent done a professional shoot on modern lenses without these filters, except vfx,
youre making a great choice and a wise investment.
