Well you'll need one of this -> https://www.amazon.com/Rode-SC3-3-5m.../dp/B00L6C8PNU

But that extra wire just makes the mic less portable/compact since you'll have to mount it somewhere else.

Yeah as stated originally, that little videomic me will never work on pocket because of the connector type. I'm not an audio guy btw, just a shooter, the way my camera is rigged the scratch audio is terrible, if the director forgets to slate good luck syncing.

Are people still shooting on the BMPCC commercially? I love my BMPCC with that S16 imagery but it's hard press to get a producer or director to use it on set. I've been using it for my own fun stuff.

The only one that works, is the original Video Mic Pro with the two stage amp built in and a 1/8th TRS connector.
Even if you figured out an adapter, Pocket is not going to power that mic anyway.
    Cheers

Well commercially probably isn't the right word for what I do. I'm the cinematographer on a team that makes no budget features, I'm hoping to direct one later in the year, but am shooting a new one spring summer. We are invested in 2 pockets and have added a used Bmcc for over sampled effects shots. We are not upgrading any time soon. 4K is not needed at our level, distributer still asks for DVD master. Would love to move up to UMPro but we don't make any money, mostly just for fun. Everything needs an upgrade tripods, gimbals, computers. We are happy with what we get from what we have.

Yes, shooting commercials with it but with a Metabones BMPCC Speedbooster.
