There is also a new Hardware selection and configuration guide on the support web page.

It's pretty impressive. Just tried it on my ageing Late 2011 17" MacBook Pro with an AMD Radeon HD 6770M GPU with 1GB of VRAM.

This is the machine that I use for backing up footage on set.

Editing ProRes 1080p timeline is as smooth as cutting in FCPX. Even in the grade page I'm getting 25fps with 2 correction nodes.

Drop some Cinema DNG's from the BMCC into the timeline and the playback in the edit window becomes stuttery which is to be expected. Once you enable the Render Cache it plays back as if I'm cutting ProRes. Awesome!

All footage was on a standard SATA drive.

Good work BM. There goes FCPX and Premier Pro off my machine.

Nice job on the config guide. While I've not read it cover to cover I did go through some of the entry level stuff and everything is well set out. Now if only we can get people to actually read it before complaining on the forums... :-)

Just downloaded, seems like the interface is less buggy/laggy (I used to have big problems with prev. vers. when zooming in/out on timelines), good job. Also seems easier to comprehend and navigate.

I've been playing around with the editing. I gotta say, if I was going to choose an editor to first learn. This is a fantastic free editor!

Wow I love the new "Audio-sync based on Waveform" function! Makes sync'ing much easier now for files without/missmatched timecodes. Looks like Premiere will be sitting in the dust pretty soon.

Finally! If I can do more projects entirely in Resolve, I'll be really happy. Round tripping everything is killing me!
