Yes, but again in either case you lose resolution, which I would rank as a higher priority than oval bokeh.
It's still a 16:9 sensor. I don't know if the Ursa mini provides a 4:3 crop but you won't get the full resolution advantage that comes with full frame 4:3 and 2x anamorphic lens. You're probably...
You won't get it with a 16:9 sensor and a 1.33x anamorphic converter. The oval bokeh comes from a 4:3 sensor (or film gate) and a 2x converter.
I ran across this last night. SHut up and take my money.

I now have all three.
I don't know where you got your information from. The 12mm, 16mm and the 25mm match perfectly in all metrics except for a slight variation in length in the 12mm ( about 7mm),...
Robert, that's about my take on the issue. I'm not suggesting that Ryan resembles in any way your last comment, but in this era of Trump Chinese trade wars, it's too easy to fall for the "Chinese...
Meike were established in Hong Kong in 2005. Whether it was startup or evolved from another operation on the mainland is difficult to establish for a non Chinese speaker. Veydra started with a 2014...
7,12,16,25,35,50,70 and 85mm cinema lenses are slated to be all available by Q1 2020.

You might be right John, but then again Meike is a lens manufacturer and they have announced the release of cine focal lengths beyond the original Veydra line due in late 2019/early 2020.
And...
The King is dead. Long live the Emperor.
Good on you if that's all you want from a gimbal. I like to have it all (or most of it at least).
It seems like a very bad idea. SSD/HDMI and power cables don't play nice with gimbal motors.
My BMPCC 4k + Smallrig full cage + HDMI clamp + T5 SSD + SR T5 clamp + MB speedbooster + Sigma Art 18-35 balances on all axes on my Moza AIr 2 but the roll axis is at the extreme end of its range. I...
Above and beyond the call of duty sir. Thanks from me and the community.
I am contemplating making up some power leads for my BMPCC 4k. Does the 2 pin weipu socket have any particular polarity?
Man, talk about jumping the shark!
Tilta,AFAIK, is a Chinese company, so a Chinese knock off by a Chinese company is, to some degree, poetic justice (although you probably won't hear them bitching like some U.S manufacturers, who...
I've got some Sandisk Extreme Pro SSDs with the mentioned spacers and, despite my original reservations they work faultlessly.
I'm hanging onto my BMCCs because of their legendary imaging even...
I'd suggest you leave the paying jobs to the pros who plan jobs with the appropriate resources.
Notwithstanding some "interesting" interpretations as to what constitutes legitimate and internationally defendable IPR, if Ryan has a claim to IP then hopefully there will be justice. But if the...
Re: the Veydra thing, if Ryan is stating that the Chinese manufacturer has infringed his patents it's one thing but If you vacate the field of battle then you risk the enemy occupying it.
Ditto. It's subtle, but they are quieter. There's also a "soft clutch" effect; I guess from the combination of the accurate fine molded teeth and the slight softness of the polyurethane material...
